Fresh Egyptian Artichokes for Export
Al-Shalaan Group supplies premium fresh globe artichokes grown in Egypt’s fertile Delta and reclaimed lands. Harvested young with tight, compact heads and tender hearts, our artichokes are graded and packed to international standards for retail, food-service and processing buyers. Egypt’s mild winter season lets us supply high-quality artichokes when Mediterranean origins are limited, giving importers a valuable early supply window.
Varieties
Green globe-type artichokes with firm, tightly closed heads. Purple-tinged varieties available depending on season and buyer requirement.
Product Specifications
- Type: Fresh globe artichokes (whole heads); hearts and bottoms available frozen (IQF)
- Export season: Typically November to April
- Sizes: Graded by head diameter/count to buyer specification
- Packaging: Ventilated cartons, count-packed or bulk, to buyer specification; with or without stems
- Cold chain: Pre-cooled after harvest and shipped under temperature control (approx. 0–2 °C at high humidity)
- Loading: Refrigerated (reefer) container, quantity to specification
